<description>Backer Photography was born after a nine year gestation period. It was in high school where I first fell in love with photography. Every aspect, from shooting to developing the film to enlarging the picture, I loved it all. I shot for myself. I took pictures that I liked and were meaningful to me and continued shooting on and off through college I pursued my degree in psychology from Colorado State University, Spent a semester abroad where I found and apprenticed with an American Master wedding and portrait photographer, traveled, took pictures, and managed to fit school in there too...I had to finish my degree, work for a year at a residential treatment facility for “at risk teens” move to Germany, road trip across America, and finally visit Israel before I allowed the praise of my work and my dream of being a photographer to meet. I still shoot for me. Every time I click the shutter it is for myself, even when you asked me to do so. The reason you will love what I do....I love what I do.
